- Panel vitrat
- Unit made up of glass foils or organic materials, transparent or translucent with well defined characteristics and geometry, that is set up in the residentship structure of the carpentry element (sheath or frame).
- Profile
- Element with a section specific to a system (cannular, closed or opened, filled) that makes up the traverses. The metallic profiles for certain systems have a discontinuity of the thermal bridge with straps of plastic, fixed in the nerviers.
- Protected carpentry
- Carpentry that is not directly exposed to rain (for instance the windows and the doors under broad eaves).
